How To Sell Without Selling And Pack Your Copywriting Business With New Clients Fast
April 30th, 2008 by sunshineblog
There’s no doubt about it that we are being bombarded with more advertising and marketing — especially online — than ever before.
And if you want your ads to cut through the noise and clutter of an overcrowded market place, one of the best things you can do is not try to make the sale at all.
Let me explain.
Almost 100 years ago the legendary copywriter Maxwell Sackheim wrote an ad with a headline (that is now ingrained in direct response copywriting mythology) that said, Do You Make These Mistakes In English?
And even though the ad is considered to have some of the best sales copy of all time, nothing in the ad was being sold. Instead, the entire ad was designed to get people to send for a free book.
You see, before selling anything, the ad first got anyone interested in developing better English skills to raise their hands. Then they sent them a sales letter selling an actual product. Which, from what I hear, sold a TON of courses.
And this concept is even more important today.
Whether you’re writing online or offline, doesn’t matter. If you find your ads and sales letters just aren’t pulling because you are in an overcrowded market, try to write an ad that sells people on something free first.
From there, when they’ve gotten to know you and the valuable information you possess, then go for the sale. Then sell a straight pitch on something that costs money.
Now, if you are a copywriter who wants to start attracting dozens — even hundreds — of new leads and clients, here’s another unique way to accomplish this.
This may sound over simplified (or complicated, depending on your work ethic) but the key to attracting copywriting clients is to simply write a book on the subject.
In fact, Joe Vitale in his book The 7 Lost Secrets Of Success told the story of how Bruce Barton (one of the founders of the famous ad agency BBDO) once wrote a book about advertising and business. And how, after the book was published, their ad agency was flooded with new business almost overnight.
People all the sudden wanted to hire Bruce Barton — the guy who wrote the book they had just read — to do their ads. And BBDO made a lot of money, and got some extremely big accounts as a result.
Now, I’m not saying you will have the same success as Bruce Barton.
But having a book out there that demonstrates your knowledge and skills will do more for your credibility and perceived value as a copywriter than any amount of portfolios, testimonials or bragging will ever do.
And realize that writing a book doesn’t have to be a hard, drawn out process. You can do the same thing, get the same effect, by having someone interview you about the subject, putting the interview on CD and having the transcripts typed up into a book.
The key is to give good information in a format people can easily access it in.
You do that, and you get it in enough people’s hands, and you will start to find people coming from all over wanting to hire you, and only you.

NASCAR Collectibles for All the Racing Aficionados
April 30th, 2008 by sunshineblog
No NASCAR aficionado worth his or her salt would be a certified fan without a few items of NASCAR collectibles. Just like with any other sports, it has been the tradition of true blue fans to purchase souvenir items and collectibles for them to take home as a reminder of their love for the game. For racing fans, there is a wide array of NASCAR collectibles to choose from. If you are a die hard fan of a particular driver, you may want to have die-cast cars which are mini-replicas of the actual car that they drive. Aside from die-cast cars, you can also purchase NASCAR t-shirts, caps, race tickets, travel mugs, key chains, watches, magnets - the list goes on and on!
For example, if you are a Jimmie Johnson fan, you can get a die-cast car as a NASCAR collectible. This die-cast car could be a miniature model of the Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS car that Jimmie Johnson is driving, with the signature blue color and the number 48 printed on both sides. Die-cast cars are the top items among the list of NASCAR collectibles that fans like to buy. Even if they do not get the chance to actually buy, ride or drive the ultra-expensive racing cars, at least they can take home a part of it through the NASCAR collectible items in the form of the die-cast cars modeled after the race cars driven by their NASCAR idols.
Depending on the brand, make and rarity of the NASCAR die-cast cars that you will buy, there will be a variation of the price. There are hard-to-find cars which may be costly for others, but for the serious collectors, the investment and satisfaction that they get in owning such NASCAR collectible items could be invaluable. However, there is something for everybody. Aside from die-cast cars, you can also buy apparel that you can wear the next time that you go to a NASCAR event. For the budget conscious, there are other NASCAR collectible items that you can choose from whose price will range from about a couple of dollars onwards. If you want to have a wide array of choices, you can visit Ebay.com, Amazon.com or go to the official site of NASCAR (www.nascar.com) to get a glimpse of the NASCAR collectibles that you can add to your collection. You can also go to the official web site of your favorite race drivers. Following tradition and getting souvenir items for one of the most popular sports events in the world has never been more fun than by purchasing all of the NASCAR collectible items that you can buy to your heart’s content.

Sade Best Of Sade Pop Music CD Review
April 30th, 2008 by sunshineblog
The exceptionally talented Pop artist Sade has released her CD entitled Best Of Sade. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Sade fans, and Pop fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Best Of Sade Sade’s artistic excellence is on full display as Sade has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be her best work to date.
Unfortunately, it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Best Of Sade. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.
Sade is one of those musicians that has the ability to just win you over with her talent. The kind of artist it’s really a treat to be able to listen to.
This is a first rate CD, delivering a little something for everyone. I give it my highest recommendation. It’s quite simply great listening. A must buy if you’re even mildly into Pop music.
While the entire album is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 10 - Nothing Can Come Between Us, track 11 - No Ordinary Love, and track 13 - Kiss Of Life.
My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore […as in Stuck On REpeat ] is track 7 - Never As Good As The First Time. It’s a great track!

I Love French Wine And Food - A Bordeaux Merlot
April 30th, 2008 by sunshineblog
If you are in the market for fine French wine and food, you should consider the world-famous Bordeaux region of southwestern France. You may find a bargain, and I hope that you’ll enjoy yourself on this fact-filled wine education tour in which we review a red Merlot from an internationally renowned producer.
Among France’s eleven wine-growing regions Bordeaux ranks first in acreage with about 50% more land devoted to vineyards than the second-place Rhone Valley. But it’s more than just a question of acreage and volume. Bordeaux is widely considered as one of the top wine producing regions of the entire earth and has been for centuries. The wine reviewed below comes from the Pomerol area on the right bank of the Garonne River, which divides Bordeaux in two.
Bordeaux produces over seventy million cases of wine per year, about 85% red, 12 white, and the rest rose. That works out to more than two million cases of rose wine per year. I don’t remember ever tasting a Bordeaux rose. I promise to deal with this problem later in the series. There are more than twenty two thousand vineyards in Bordeaux covering about 280 thousand acres, which works out to somewhat less than 13 acres per vineyard. Approximately one half of the vineyards produce wine, and in total about 6000 properties produce and sell their own wine, while the rest sell their wine through cooperatives. Bordeaux boasts about 60 different wine appellations ranging from fair-to-middling to world class with plenty in between. Some Bordeaux wine classifications date back to 1855 and have barely changed since, except that Baron Rothschild was able to get his best wine promoted from Second Cru (second growth) to Premier Cru (First Growth). Those in the know say that his Chateau Lafitte definitely deserves this honor. We intend to review some fairly top-notch Bordeaux wines sooner or later. In the meantime the wine reviewed below is very affordable. Interestingly enough, its noble cousin, Chateau Petrus, crafted by the same producer with the same grape in the same area holds no prestigious classification. However, Chateau Petrus is definitely world class and comes with a price to match, if the wine merchant will even look at your money.
It may surprise you but Merlot is the most important Bordeaux red grape. Cabernet Sauvignon comes in a distant second. We’ll talk about the remaining important Bordeaux red grape varieties elsewhere in this series. The major white grapes are Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Pomerol is a small, rural region of Bordeaux that produces only red wine. Its major grape varieties are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.
Pomerol’s main tourist attractions are the wine chateaux. You may be surprised but the world famous Chateau Petrus doesn’t look all that great. The most attractive Chateaux are Chateau Nenin and Vieux Chateau Certan but even they are far from spectacular. As the famous phrase goes, you can’t judge a book by its cover. Of course the Bordeaux region is brimming with sights to see which will be described in the appropriate articles.
Before reviewing the Bordeaux wine and imported cheeses that we were lucky enough to purchase at a local wine store and a local Italian food store, here are a few suggestions of what to eat with indigenous wines when touring this beautiful region. Start with Gravette Huitres (Oysters from the Arcachon Bay). For your second course savor Lamproie au Pomerol (Eels cooked in Red Wine and Chocolate). And as dessert indulge yourself with Cannelles de Bordeaux ( Portable Creme Brulee).
OUR WINE REVIEW POLICY All wines that we taste and review are purchased at the full retail price.
Wine Reviewed Moueix Merlot 2003 12.3% about $13.00
Let’s start by quoting the marketing materials. No one knows Merlot better than Christian Moueix, owner of the world famous Chateau Petrus. Year after year, his wines define Merlot. Soft and round with aromas of raspberry, cedar and blueberry, this wine delivers ripe fruit, great balance and a medium long finish. It’s magic with veal medallions and sauteed mushrooms, or baked pasta.
My first pairing was with turkey meatballs, potatoes, and sauteed vegetables in a moderately spicy tomato sauce. This wine was round and full-bodied. It was quite long with pleasant acidity but overpowered the meat. The Merlot’s taste improved after I ate some potatoes. When I finished the glass after the meal, the wine was quite rich and I started tasting blackberries.
My next meal consisted of slow-cooked beef stew and potatoes with a somewhat spicy sauce and two rather spicy side salads. The wine was full-bodied and agreeably acidic, tasting of plums and black cherries. Once again I enjoyed finishing the glass after the meal. The spices were intensified. I can only imagine what its famous cousin, Chateau Petrus, would taste like but at forty times the cost (or more), I can only imagine.
The final meal included hamburgers, rice, cauliflower and red peppers in a tomato sauce. The sauce should have been enlivened by Harissa, a Moroccan hot pepper spice that turned out to be fairly weak. The Merlot tasted of dark fruits and tobacco with a bit of black pepper. The only downside was that the wine was not long.
As always, the cheese tastings came last. I started with a Palet de Chevre, which is a goat’s milk cheese from the Poitou Charentes region of central-western France. Honestly, if I didn’t know that it was a goat’s milk cheese I never would have guessed. It simply looked and tasted like a slightly runny Camembert. The combination was almost OK, but deadened the wine’s flavor somewhat. Cheese number two was a Gruyere from Switzerland. The wine bounced back in the Gruyere’s presence, but frankly was too good for the cheese.
Final verdict. No doubt about it; I want this wine again. And should the day come that I’ll buy its noble cousin, Chateau Petrus, I’ll still be buying this wine.
Levi Reiss has authored, alone or with others, ten computer and Internet books, but to be honest, he would rather just drink fine French or other wine, accompanied by the right foods and the right people. Getting to the Root of Nutrition: The Pillars of Nutrition
April 30th, 2008 by sunshineblog
What are we made of? While this may seem like a simple question, the answer is essential to the study of nutrition. Over hundreds if not thousands of years the study of nutrition has aimed to break down the different compounds from which the body is made and to understand where they came from. The simple fact is that the entire human body is made out of food and water and to a lesser extent air and light. The things that do not fall into these categories may be toxins and actually cause a burden to the structures and functions of the normal body. Many toxins are added to our food today and you may be surprised by what some of them are. Knowing what supports correct bodily function and what burdens it can help you make better choices about your lifestyle and your diet and the result is an improved level of wellness.
Understanding that from the very beginning you were and continue to be made out of the compounds found in food and water, nutrition and the study of it is obviously primarily health care and neither alternative nor complimentary. Nutrition is the most fundamental aspect of life.
What makes the food that makes us?
First we have the so-called “pillars of nutrition.” These are also known as macronutrients because they take up the largest portion of the food, apart from water which makes up a substantial portion of any food.
? Protein
? Fats
? Carbohydrates
Just like the basic parts used to make a car, these parts are all required for life and in a ratio of about 30% protein, 20% fats and 50% carbohydrates.
The quality of each of these pillars is very important. After all, do you want to be made from high quality parts or low quality parts?
Protein is composed of twenty different amino acids. In adults there are eight essential amino acids. Essential means there is no way for your body to get these building blocks other than through your diet. With children there are ten essential amino acids and premature babies require eleven amino acids. Again, they cannot get in these other way than through diet.
Meat from animals contains a complete profile of the essential amino acids, but some erroneously believe that vegetarians have a difficult time getting enough protein in their diets. Protein is a basic building block in all life and vegetarians eating a reasonably varied selection of foods not only get complete protein support, the protein from plants tends to be easier to digest and does not cause a build up of toxins like uric acid in the kidneys as is the case with all animal protein.
Modern diets tend to have the least amount of high quality essential fats but large amounts of low quality and harmful fats. These essential fats are found in foods such as flax seed, fresh nuts, avocados and certain types of fish. Processed foods and red meat contain saturated fats and trans fats which are neither essential nor beneficial.
The essential fats not only assist the body in the management of inflammation and other bodily processes, they make up some critical structures in the body as well. Over 50% of the mass of a healthy brain is composed of these essential, unsaturated fats.
A word of warning: have you ever opened a jar of raw nuts and discovered the smell of “oil paint”? This is a sign that the essential fats have gone rancid. Throw this food out.
The final pillar is the much maligned carbohydrate group. These foods provide energy as well as fiber to the diet. Fiber is found in most plants and is not considered a nutrient, but it is important for normal bodily function and waste elimination. Fruits and vegetables provide the best source of carbohydrates and varying amounts of fiber. Grains also provide beneficial carbohydrates as long as they are whole and are an excellent source of fiber. Refined grains provide the lowest quality source of carbohydrates and in excess may now only lead to unwanted weight gain, but also an increased risk of diabetes, and heart disease.
These three pillars of nutrition are very important and provide the bulk of any healthy diet. For hundreds of years, they were considered to be the only components of nutrition in food. That all changed as research moved forward in the late 19th and early 20th century.
In the next article, we will peer further into the essentials of food.

Top 10 Diamond Shapes - Which Will You Choose?
April 30th, 2008 by sunshineblog
Although the round diamond shape is the most popular shape of all there are many fascinating and beautiful alternatives.
Use this list to familiarize yourself with the top 10 diamond shapes before deciding to buy a diamond ring. For illustrated examples of all these shapes see the Diamond Ring Tutorial in the resource box.
Asscher
Named after the Asscher brothers of Holland at the turn of the 20th century, this square diamond shape has an almost octagonal appeal.
Cushion
If you want to be a little different, this is the shape for you. Cushion shaped diamonds can be almost square or slightly elongated giving a soft pillow shape.
Emerald
Emerald shapes are normally cut to a rectangular outline but some can be cut more square. Get advice from the supplier regarding length to width ratios.
Heart
Regarded by many as the most romantic of all the shapes, skilled cutting is necessary to maintain the diamond’s brilliance due to the complexity of the shape.
Marquise
If you want to flatter the finger and make it appear longer choose the Marquise. It’s shape is elongated with tapering points at the ends.
Oval
Another shape to flatter and accentuate a slender finger. Being similar to the Round shape, it has brilliance and fire.
Pear
This teardrop shape is regarded by many as very feminine. The cut is very important with a Pear shape so the light is reflected evenly, especially at the point.
Princess
This shape has the distinction of being the most popular next to the Round shape. It boasts clean, dazzling, square lines.
Radiant
The radiant shape is similar to the Princess but can be more rectangular. It combines the classic Emerald cut with Round.
Round
By far this is the most popular shape of all. The 306 degree symmetrical shape contributes to the dazzling brilliance of this shape. It suits almost every kind of mounting.
For more information on all these shapes plus the four c’s - cut, clarity, color, carat, consult the tutorial listed below.

Tips For The Novice Shih Tzu Show Dog Handler
April 29th, 2008 by sunshineblog
If you will not be hiring a professional Shih Tzu handler for the show ring, there are a few things you should know about how to protect yourself and your Shih Tzu so that neither of you are too discouraged right at the start.
Try to remember a judge’s first and lasting impression of your Shih Tzu’s temperament will be made the moment it walks into the ring. Do not carry your Shih Tzu into the ring to avoid getting its hair messed up. Let the judge see the Shih Tzu’s gait as it walks into the ring. Do not drag the Shih Tzu behind you. It invariably will be a stressful 48 hour period for your Shih Tzu before the show. This time period will either be too hot, too cold or too rainy. A few hours before the show will involve your Shih Tzu having to stand rigidly on a crate, having its face and body sprayed with grooming substance that does not smell or taste very good. Your Shih Tzu may have to endure a session of sneezing while you brush their hair out to perfection. Then remember all the hours your Shih Tzu was in the bathtub and the grooming session the day before the show. What about the ride to the show? Was it over bumpy, uncomfortable roads? The 48 hours just before the show can be a drooling, torturous time for your precious Shih Tzu, soon to become a Show Dog Shih Tzu. Experienced judges know just what a Shih Tzu has to endure the 48 hours before show time. If your Shih Tzu can still strut into the ring after all this, the judge will have to know your Shih Tzu has an excellent disposition. This will be the judge’s first impression. It will also be a very lasting impression.
Do not try to be first to enter the ring if you are a novice. It will be much more educational for you to get behind a more experienced exhibitor or professional handler where you can observe and learn ring behavior and procedures. When you do enter the ring with your Shih Tzu, do so quickly and calmly. Have your Shih Tzu on a loose lead. Watch for the first opportunity to show your arm band to the judge for check in purposes. Then get in the line-up already forming in the ring. This is usually at the opposite side of the judge’s table. This move will give the judge a good opportunity to the second look at your Shih Tzu. Now, set your Shih Tzu up in a show pose.
As the judge goes up and down the line of Shih Tzu, maintain your Shih Tzu in a show stance. Do not brush the Shih Tzu’s hair at this time. Do not be adjusting the Shih Tzu’s feet, or tilting the head, or positioning the Shih Tzu’s tail. By the time the judge reaches your Shih Tzu, the Shih Tzu should be standing as still as a statue with your hands off of it. If you show a lot of fussing over the Shih Tzu at this time it only calls attention to the fact that you are probably an amateur at this and you will be seen as nervously mishandling the Shih Tzu. A free, natural stance will be more appealing to the judge.
People play games in anything that is competitive to try and discourage a newcomer especially if the newcomer really has a good dog. This poses a threat to others who are competing with you and people do play games to try and make you or your Shih Tzu look bad.
These same kind of games are played in other arenas of the purebred dog sport such as what we have today on the internet with so many Shih Tzu dog websites springing up. People get jealous and feel threatened by what they see their competitors doing that may take away “something” from them. So they try and set up little games to make their competitors look bad or seem unworthy in the hopes that “the consumer” will pass up their competitors when it comes time to purchase Shih Tzu puppies.
I suppose if it works in the world of politics to bad-mouth your competitor and opponents, it should work in all other situations is the thinking of individuals who stoop to this type of a tactic. And you definitely will meet up with this type in the show ring as well.
Simply label these behaviors for what they truly are, which is “unprofessional.” Don’t be “unprofessional.” Hold your head up high and always work as a true professional in anything you attempt to do in life. Do not join in with any kind of childish game playing. How you play your game is what will be remembered most.

What is Cyberstalking?
April 29th, 2008 by sunshineblog
Protection from Cyberstalking
Computers and the Internet are becoming indispensable parts of America’s culture, and cyberstalking is a growing threat.
What is Cyberstalking? Cyberstalking can be defined as threatening behavior or unwanted advances directed at another using the Internet and other forms of online and computer communications. Cyberstalking occurs when electronic mediums such as the Internet are used to pursue, harass or contact another in an unsolicited fashion. Internet CyberStalking is used to slander and endanger victims, taking on a public rather than private dimension.
Cyberstalking is the term used to describe stalking behavior undertaken by way of computer. Although no universal definition exists, cyberstalking occurs when an individual or group uses the Internet to stalk or harass another. Essentially cyberstalking is the act of stalking using the Internet, e-mail, or other electronic communication devices. Everyone who receives e-mail or uses the Internet is susceptible to cyberstalking.
In order to address cyberstalking, it is critical to understand stalking in general. The fact that cyberstalking does not involve physical contact may create the misperception that it is less threatening or dangerous than physical stalking. In many cases, cyberstalking is simply another phase in an overall stalking pattern, or it is regular stalking behavior using new technological tools. Essentially, cyberstalking is an extension of the physical form of stalking.
The anonymity of online interaction reduces the chance of identification and makes cyberstalking more common than physical stalking. The ease of use and non-confrontational, impersonal, and sometimes anonymous nature of Internet communications may remove disincentives to cyberstalking. Although cyberstalking might seem relatively harmless, it can cause victims psychological and emotional harm, and occasionally leads to actual stalking. More disturbingly, pornographers and pedophiles have begun to use cyberstalking as a way of locating new victims.
It is commonly assumed that cyberstalking is not as serious or harmful as real world stalking. It is true that cyberstalking bears little physical resemblance to traditional stalking methods such as following and loitering.
Cyberstalking is a relatively new phenomenon. The stream of data is sketchy, but some insights into cyberstalking trends are emerging. As with regular stalking, cyberstalking often begins when you attempt to break off a relationship. Anecdotal evidence from law enforcement agencies indicates that cyberstalking is a serious, and growing problem.
While cyberstalking has become a worldwide problem, most cases originate in the United States, making Americans the most vulnerable group of targets. It is estimated that there may potentially be tens or even hundreds of thousands of cyberstalking victims in the United States. A common area regarding cyberstalking is at the edu sites, which are educational institutes, such as colleges and universities. While, historically, cyberstalking has mostly been men stalking women, the reverse is happening more often as well.
In many instances, cyberstalking is simply another phase in an overall stalking pattern, or it is regular stalking behavior using new, high-technology tools. Keep a record of contact made (in relation to the cyberstalking event) with website administrators, victim support organizations and law enforcement personnel. Often, cyberstalking ventures offline and the cyberstalker may attempt to track down the victim physically. These things are important because online cyberstalking and bullying is increasing, and further, is grossly underreported.
By the use of new technology and equipment which cannot be policed by traditional methods, cyberstalking has replaced traditional methods of stalking and harassment. The investigation of cyberstalking and other computer crimes can be complex. The lack of adequate statutory authority also can limit law enforcement’s response to cyberstalking incidents. Out-of-date and missing account, subscriber, and user information, as well as anonymizing tools, presented problems for law enforcement during cyberstalking investigations.

Custom Gift Wrap - Promoting Your Brand
April 29th, 2008 by sunshineblog
With retail chain stores on every high street, there’s never been a more important time for independent retailers to find ways to promote their own brand. However, whether you have one store or five hundred stores your brand is central to everything you do to promote your business.
A growing trend among retailers is to offer a gift wrapping service. This is true both in the physical world and also with retailing on the internet. It is possible to buy a huge range of stock gift wrap papers. But, this has its disadvantages. Not only is it almost impossible to match your company’s corporate colours, but with changing trends, a paper chosen today could be out of stock tomorrow.
A better solution for gift wrapping is to have your own gift wrap paper custom printed. A simple idea would be to have your logo repeated to make an overall pattern using your corporate colours. This will work well with a particularly good design. A much better idea would be to commission some bespoke illustrations that either reflect your store’s product range or possibly a seasonal theme. The company logo can be included, but with more subtlety. This way you can maintain your corporate brand whilst offering the recipient of the gift something much more appealing.
Remember to give some thought to whether you are going to include ribbons and bows when choosing your design theme and colours. Gift wrap ribbons and bows will add the finishing touch to any gift. Do think about how the fully gift wrapped present is to be packaged for posting if you are planning to gift wrap mail order items. You would most likely include the gift wrap materials along with the product for wrapping by the gift giver, unless you are sending the gift directly to the recipient.
Custom Gift Wrap Design and Print
There are printers who specialise in wrapping paper printing. The same is true of designers. Initially you will need to talk to someone who understands the different processes involved and being armed with sufficient information at the beginning will help.
1. Do you require rolls or sheets?
2. What is your preferred paper weight? eg. 60g., 70g., 80g., 90g.
3. Paper quality? Kraft, Varnished, Metallic.
4. Paper size? Length and width of rolls or sheets.
5. Paper finish? Matt or Varnished.
6. Quantity of sheets or rolls?
7. Colours in design? Standard 1-4 colours, Pantones.
8. Type of printing? Flexo, Gravure, Litho.
9. Any special effects? Metal foil, spot varnish.
The quantity and paper finish required will very quickly dictate what is possible and what is not for your budget. The budget will be dependent on the value of the gift, assuming you won’t be charging for a branded gift wrap service. There are three types of printing used to print wrapping paper. These are Flexography, Gravure and Litho printing.
Printing wrapping paper rolls using Flexography. For simple designs in 1 or 2 colours the minimum quantity is approximately 6 to 12 rolls per design. Roll widths are typically from 30cm to 100cm and have a roll length of 250m. Rolls can be cut and supplied as gift wrap sheets.
Printing wrapping paper rolls using Gravure printing. Minimum quantities are often referred to by weights from 100kg for a single colour and up to 1000kg minimum for 4 colour printing per design. Roll widths are from 30cm to 100cm and in roll lengths of 250m.
A weight of 100Kg is equivalent to approximately 15 to 25 rolls, depending on the paper weight and roll width. These 250m counter rolls can also be cut and supplied as gift wrap sheets or converted into consumer rolls. Consumer roll lengths are specified by the customer and typically vary from 1m to 5m in length.
Printing wrapping paper using Litho printing. Gift wrapping paper is relatively thin, 60-90g, and not many printers like to put such thin paper through their litho printing presses. Some will print on thicker paper. This isn’t normally recommended as it makes wrapping gifts more difficult. A 90g matt white paper provides an ideal base for printing gift wrap designs and is thick enough for litho printing if you can find a supplier that will do it. The most popular sheet size is 500m x 700mm or very close, depending on the printing press and country of supply. Typical minimum quantity is 1000 sheets per design.
There are definite advantages to printing litho. With low print runs possible and high quality multi-colour printing, the starting price for being able to print multiple designs is kept low. With some creativity a wonderful selection of designs is possible while including a central branded look.
