Healthy Eating Leads To Healthy Living
August 8th, 2008 by sunshineblog
Healthy eating is never a likable option with hard core foodies. People are always particular about the quality of fuel to be used for their Mercedes but quality is always on a compromise when it comes to health issues.
People hog on to whatever comes their way, being least bothered about the consequences. Be it cookies, chocolates, gravy or some pulses, all have an equal rating. But the unwanted pounds that get added is a much neglected fact. There is very little difference between our body system and a car. A car that has been designed to run on petrol will never move an inch if diesel is poured into it. Similar is the case with human beings. For the normal functioning of the human body, it is very essential to eat the right things.
Whenever there is a talk on healthy eating, people are of the idea that there are hardly any eating options given to them. But the fact definitely takes them by surprise that, healthy eating has a wider variety of options.
Food Pyramid
The Americans have the system of a food pyramid which vitally helps them to remain healthy in the long run. Although very few are addicted to this food pyramid but in general, it is of great help.
It is very important to have a control on ones weight. Overeating and an unhealthy diet leads to obesity which would leave you, physically and mentally fatigued.
A daily exercise is a must. Any kind of physical activity would help. This is merely to help a proper blood circulation.
Avoid fatty foods.
Understand the usefulness of wholegrain.
Cut down on the intake of sugar.
Benefits of healthy eating
Who likes to fall sick every now and then? It ends up upsetting ones mood as well as all the exciting plans. Staying healthy not only increases the energy level but also causes no problems in the body functioning. The immune system remains strong and obesity becomes a forgotten word. There are also a variety of other benefits caused due to healthy eating.
There occurs an imbalance in our diet due to the lack of nutrients. Its only a healthy diet that leads to a proper nutrition level in the body.
Heart diseases, cancer, diabetes and blood pressure can be on a reduce if a the diet is a healthy one.
Healthy eating leads to a healthy and perfect body structure. It helps you to remain in shape. Neither does it make you feel overdone nor very sleek. This will help to enjoy life better.
Eating healthy also helps you to remain young.
Your guide book to healthy eating
Healthy eating is never an inborn thing but something that has to be inculcated.
There is a famous proverb that goes like…”breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper”. It may sound funny but taking it on a serious note, it works.
Never try to skip your meals. This leads to a gastric problem which adds as a link to many other serious ones.
Reduce on the oil intake and try to include fresh fruits and vegetables. Salads, fruit and vegetable juices are apt for the people giving a thought to healthy eating.
Sugar should very low on the chart as it automatically leads to diabetes at some point of life. There is always an availability of low calorie sugar.
Never eat when your stomach does not want to,no matter what your eating is your favorite food. Feel light even after you have just finished eating. That is the secret to healthy eating.
Cut down on the intake of too much of red meat. It leads to a high cholesterol level.
An intake of calcium is very essential for the body, and milk and other dairy products is the only solution. But care should be take to have dairy products with saturated fat. A suggestion by the Harvard health is to replace milk and cheese, In fact all high calorie stuffs with calcium supplements.
A limit on the salt consumption is very much advisable. Too much of salt intake leads to high blood pressure.
Changes in the food habits should not be made all of a sudden. Our body system is a very delicate one and it prefers only gradual changes. It cannot handle too much of changes at a time. It is definitely advised to reduce food but never to eliminate it. This will add on to the problems rather than solving it.

Shih Tzu’s Fight For Survival
August 8th, 2008 by sunshineblog
In 1952 Elfreda Evans deliberately bred a Shih Tzu to a Pekingese. This was the “unthinkable,” and was not taken well by many. However, Ms. Evans felt there were just too few Shih Tzus available to breed and those that were available were much too large and too inbred. She believed because the Shih Tzu were so closely related they were developing too many faults.
One of the greatest moments in Shih Tzu history was in 1963. A Shih Tzu named Champion Ellingham Kala Nag won Best of Breed at Crufts, the most renowned and respected dog show in the United Kingdom. The Shih Tzu began winning hearts all around the world.
In spite of its appeal the Shih Tzu was not accepted as a distinct breed by the American Kennel Club until 1955. It was then listed in the Miscellaneous Class. By 1964 there were approximately 400 Shih Tzus registered in the United States.
Although much progress had been made, the Pekingese cross did seem to causes a setback for Shih Tzu recognition in the United States. The American Kennel Club would not recognize any of the descendants of the Shih Tzu/Pekingese outcross as purebred Shih Tzu until they were at least four generations removed from the original Shih Tzu/Pekingese mating. We do know, however, that by 1966 there were 15 registered Shih Tzu champions in the United Kingdom that were descendants of Mrs. Evans’ Shih Tzu/Pekingese cross.
By 1980 the Shih Tzu population were into the thousands and Shih Tzus were being exported to many countries around the world. In 1989 the American Shih Tzu Club developed a more descriptive standard to guide Shih Tzu breeders. Today, in the United States, the Shih Tzu ranks among the ten most popular breeds.
It seems as though the Shih Tzu’s fight for survival is finally over……

Discovering Music And Autism And The Connection They Share
August 8th, 2008 by sunshineblog
For the parents of a child with autism it can be a continuous process to search for new activities and stimulations that can prove to be a benefit their child. And the hardest part can be discerning the validity of the treatment in question, and the true long-term effects of implementation. But with music and autism, the experts agree that music is an invaluable tool for helping in the developmental process of an autistic child.
It is recognized that children with autism tend to have an impaired capacity to converse, learn efficiently, intermingle socially, and develop and acquire new skills. But due to the complex yet predictable structure of music, it can help with all of these problems.
This predicable repetition provides a great learning tool for autistic children. It has also been shown to greatly improve an autistic child’s social skills as well as patience and tolerance.
Multiple Benefits
Not only can music be used to effectively treat autistic children; it can be a great diagnostic tool as well. For example, exposure to music can help to determine the strengths of the child can be identified and weaknesses can be exposed.
Furthermore, studies have revealed that autistic children show a much higher desire to listen to music when compared to peers of their same age. So while listening to music can be a valuable teaching tool for a child with autism, it can also be a rewarding experience. This may be due to the fact that studies have shown children with autism have an increased ability to discern pitch from other children, making listening to music a more interactive experience.
Modes of Delivery
There are different methods for pairing together music and autism. Besides simply presenting a child with music, you can give them access to a story or lesson taught with musical additions or enhancements. And in many cases, these lessons are made with autistic children in mind, and come as part of a set or series. You can even pick one out based on age group or your child’s ability to learn.
Moreover, some teachings are offered that team up musical elements with activities that help a child to stimulate learning processes and capabilities by asking questions and stimulating memory.
The ultimate goal of these musical lessons is to increase the learning capacity of an autistic child. And while the benefits of doing this are numerous, widespread, and widely endorsed by experts, the greatest benefit of all might be the enjoyment offered to your child.
So we’ve learned that music and autism go hand in hand. It’s hard to know exactly what causes autistic children to become so engaged with musical elements. It could be due to their increased pitch sensitivity, or their willingness to anticipate chord progressions and melodic patterns. Either way, it amounts to a great way to reach children that can be hard to teach, and a tool parents and teachers should both utilize whenever possible.

A Paternity Test Helps You Know For Sure
August 8th, 2008 by sunshineblog
Performing a DNA paternity test is the one way to find out for sure if a man is the true biological father of a child. In cases where there is any doubt as to the identity of a child’s father, such as where a mother’s fidelity is in question, or in some legal child support or custody cases, a paternity test can provide unequivocal results. DNA testing is the most accurate and reliable method of determining the truth about a paternal relationship, with the results providing the conclusive proof that is needed.
Home paternity tests are inexpensive to buy and are easy to use. A paternity test kit will come complete with all the equipment that is needed, such as swabs, forms and containers. Most home DNA tests require the use of buccal swabs to take DNA samples from the inside cheeks of all parties involved. The alleged father and child obviously need to be tested, but it is useful to test the mother as well if possible. The samples need to be placed carefully into labeled tubes or containers and returned to the laboratory for analysis. Most companies that offer paternity test services aim to mail the results back to you as quickly as possible, which can take around a week in most cases.
DNA paternity testing involves the comparison of the DNA sequences for man, child and in many cases the mother. We each have 23 pairs of chromosomes, half of which we inherit from our mother, the other half from our father. If a match is found between a child’s DNA and the man’s, there is no doubt that he is the biological father. Having a sample of the mother’s DNA can help by removing her DNA from the equation.
If there are doubts or disputes about a paternal relationship, then taking a paternity test is the way to know for certain if a man is the biological father of a child. DNA testing is a straightforward procedure that can be done in the privacy of your own home, and provide you with the answers you need.

What Article Submissions Can Do For Your Company!?
August 8th, 2008 by sunshineblog
It’s the age of the internet, is your business actively promoting online? Using your knowledge online can bring your business great success. We all have ideaswe can share about our own industry; failing to share those ideas is like failing to plan for the future.
Online business rewards those who work hard at what they do. Many smaller companies launch their website with the notion that search engines will find them right away, and that visitors will start pouring in.
The reality is; this is not true. Granted, search engines may find your website one day and list a couple of pages from your site but, this is definitely not even close to being enough effort on your part. These couple of pages listed online will never attract the right type of client on a frequent basis.
A Brand New Website Doesn’t Guarantee Sales!
Some of you might have an extensive advertising budget which you will probably spend it all through PPC (Pay Per Click), text ads, and other different venues. If I were you, I would hire a copywriter, or an SEO company to write articles for you!!! A writer would be able to share your knowledge online, while targeting a specific market! I can’t stress this enough how niche articles can target the right market you’re looking for.
For those of you who don’t have an advertising budget, you’ll want to become the writer for your company. Hands down, article marketing is the #1 free internet marketing source there is.
Articles Can Target Your Market Directly!
Years ago I wrote an article about Content Management Systems . I did this because my company at the time was increasingly getting into creating content management systems for our clients. By writing tips for companies to read about CMS , it ultimately brought a great deal of leads to my front door step. The key is that you can target your perfect client’s by writing tips that will attract them to your door.
Even Small Local Companies Can Target Their Market!!
Do you rely on clients that are residing in your area? Not to worry, writing articles can also help you attract people locally. Each article that you write allows you to have an Author Resource Box , or About The Author at the bottom of your articles. You will be able to use your author box in order to target your local market. Here’s how to do it…
Example:
About The Author:
Martin Lemieux is the owner of Article99 who operates in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. If you live near our area, please call us (000) 000-0000.
==END==
Having an author box like the one above will help you target people from Hamilton & surrounding areas . Search engines go through articles wherever they are and they look at the content within the article. By adding references to your local area, you’re helping search engines index your article for that local market. Here’s how it works…
If someone types in Article Marketing In Hamilton who’s article do you think will show up??? THIS ONE! This is because of the targeted content + the targeted area. Search engines are always looking for a city/province/country reference points which they utilize within their different search engines for many countries world wide.
In order to give you an example you can relate to.. read this one!
Let’s say you write an article about Back Pain and you insert your local area at the bottom of the article. When search engines find that article, they will list your article within searches like Back pain specialists in Hamilton . See how the topic of the article has now allowed your business to prosper locally?
In Conclusion:
If you have a marketing budget, hire a copywriter to write articles for you and promote your business online while targeting your local marketing through your author resource box. If you don’t have a budget don’t worry, you’re not alone , you’ll have to get your creative mind in gear and write the article yourself, which is by the way what most of us do!
Martin Lemieux is the owner of the following article directories. Be sure to register for an author account, and get extensive promotion for your articles!

How To Achieve a Life that You’re Passionate About By Doing What You Love To Do?
August 8th, 2008 by sunshineblog
How To Achieve a Life that You’re Passionate About By Doing What You Love To Do?
(This is Part 1 of a series of articles by the author on Finding and Following Your Life Purpose and Passion).
We all have a definite purpose in our lives, a key part of which is living a life of joy and abundance. It’s also about doing what we love to do and fulfilling our highest natural potential.
Some call it ‘career’, some call it ‘vocation’, others call it following your ‘calling’ - doing something that you’re perfectly naturally suited to do, and fulfilling your life purpose in being here.
I’m sure you’ve heard the saying - ‘Do What You Love and the Success Will Follow’. I can hear you saying - yeah well, its not always that easy! Yes, sure, I agree - it’s not always that easy. But why not? This is a complex question. Let’s explore this a bit further in this posting -
Some people find their way easily and naturally early in their lives and live a passionate life on purpose. Others find their way and make changes years later, or in mid life. Yet the majority struggle and never do …
So, why does this elude so many people who think they’re on the right track, in a good ‘job’, earn reasonable money, sometimes even great $s, yet still something is lacking, still they’re not happy or fulfilled, still there’s a yearning for something else, something more?
They wonder if there’s any purpose or meaning in their life. They find themselves just existing from day-to-day, operating on autopilot, or by default, dreading getting out of bed in the morning, and trudging and dragging their way to their 9-5 job (’job’ = ‘just over broke’), or these days more likely to be an 8-8 job …
Many know they’re stuck in the wrong career or in an unfulfilling job, and say they will get around to fixing and changing that some day, when the time is right, when they get a chance …
Yes, for many, ‘Life gets in the way’ … The mortgage and bills have to be paid, family to take care of, school fees, other life responsibilities, climbing the corporate ladder as society expects … and so it goes on … and life goes by …
Yes it’s a complex issue …
OK, so - How can you achieve a Life that you love and enjoy by doing what you love to do? How can you do this?
It takes major soul searching and the courage, and the ‘guts’ to give it a go ….
For the next few minutes - set aside some time for yourself to explore the following questions below. For that time, answer honestly from your heart … Put aside any limiting thoughts … Think big … Indulge yourself … Don’t edit or sensor yourself … Most importantly, have fun with this exercise. And, write down your thoughts - grab a piece of paper, or jot on your computer.
Ask yourself -
* What do you really love doing?
* What are your hobbies? (not always the same thing as previous question, so differentiate them)
* What are your ‘big picture’ dreams and goals that you have and would love to achieve?
* What would you really like to do if you absolutely knew you would not fail?
* Take this a step further, if money wasn’t an issue at all, what would you do or like to achieve?
* What do you think about when you get a private moment to yourself?
* Have you ever fantasized or wished you could spend more time at your hobby than at your job?
* What dreams did you have in childhood? Have you lost touch with or forgotten dreams and goals you had in childhood or earlier in your life? What are they?
* What interests, desires or passions do you have that you keep inside and do not tell others?
* Have you dreamt about ‘working for yourself’, starting your own business, perhaps home business?
* Have you actually tried setting up a business or home business before and failed?
* What things do you do really well and give away to friends - perhaps gourmet goodies, paintings, arts and crafts, floral arrangements, pet treats, plant cuttings or propagation, woodwork items, other hobby items …
The answers to these questions will give you the clues to your passions, or the career or business for you to consider pursuing -
If you’re passionate enough, love it enough, are fuelled enough, and have a raging ‘fire in your belly’ enough … You’ll find a way to DO IT … That’s what it takes …
Find your LOVE and PASSION and pursue it and you will find success. Yes, it will be difficult starting out. That’s the way it is in any business. Let me ask you - do you know of any business that hasn’t taken time, commitment and perserverance to build? It doesn’t happen overnight. (Please avoid getting hooked into ‘get rich quick’ biz opp schemes - most of them are just scams).
If your business is also your passion, YOU WILL find a way to do it, and YOU WILL make it through and won’t quit when the going gets tough, because you LOVE it. Once you make up your mind that it’s what you want to do, then JUST GO and DO IT! …

The Blue Matrix and Body Wisdom
August 8th, 2008 by sunshineblog
Artist as Healer-Healer as Artist, Sharlene McLearon creates work that images art as a healing force for herself, others and the Earth. Her paintings are expressive and symbolic. Most are images that emerged from a healing dimension and in their own profound way, will lead viewers to be healed as well. Her paintings speak in “unspoken words” and open up the heart and mind of the viewer to limitless possibilities. There is more than aesthetic talent in Sharlene’s art; there is power-spiritual power.
Sharlene has studied art in Canada and abroad– in Paris, Florence and Chautauqua, N.Y. She was a Docent at the National Gallery of Canada in the 80’s. She had solo and group exhibitions in Saudi Arabia, Canada and Germany. The National Museum for Women in the Arts in Washington D.C. recognized her artistic accomplishments in 1993 and opened a file for her work in their Archives. Her art work can be found in private and corporate collections in over 35 countries. UNICEF, Geneva, selected her painting “Sunflowers” in 1997 and used that image in cards to raise funds in Europe and Asia. Her art can be viewed at her gallery website.
What is most amazing about Sharlene is that she is also a Registered Nurse, a journalist who interviewed frontline Saudi and Egyptian troops during the Gulf crisis, naval officers on a warship in the Persian Gulf and doctors who escaped the occupation of Kuwait. As well, she had been a television journalist who scripted, filmed and hosted documentaries for Saudi Arabian TV. In her spare time, she wrote poetry that has been published in Saudi Arabia and England.
And this is not all about Sharlene. Safely ensconced in London Ontario since 2000, she has literally re-invented herself as a Certified Reiki Master/Teacher, a Master Instructor of Integrated Energy Therapy and the first Blue Matrix Energetics Instructor in Ontario. And it is this latter capacity that points to the common thread that runs through all her incarnations-a powerful connection to the Universal Energy Source that comes from her innate understanding of the wisdom of the body.
“Blue Matrix Energetics is an energy-based system of healing that involves the laying on of hands to channel powerful, universal life force energy of varying frequencies,” says Sharlene. Imagine these frequencies as a stairway of frequency dimensions leading to the Zero-Point Field. “We work in the frequency of Ultraviolet Blue for genetic restructuring and physical healing. Then through this stairway of ascending frequency dimensions, we move the client into higher states of consciousness that can be life-changing for him or her. During this process, we can bring about neurological reprogramming of harmful attitudes and remote viewing of the timelines in the client’s own life journey.” The result is a healing and re-balancing of body, mind and emotions which allows the client to come to a deeper understanding of himself or herself.
The treatments themselves are a source of spiritual experience for Sharlene as well. “During the treatments,” she says,” I have amazing visions of Divine Intelligence working on the client to heal, using technology never seen before. The Blue Matrix moves through the body of the client showing me where there is a problem and I see them working on it to heal the area. Many times I see the body rise to the earth’s grid and get ‘plugged in,’ so to speak, for healing purposes. During the final hand position and at the highest frequency I often experience the presence of the Divine. I feel so privileged to be doing this work.”
How did Sharlene get involved with Blue Matrix? She was introduced to this healing therapy by its founder, Barbra Hudson of British Columbia, at an annual meeting of the Canadian Reiki Association in Toronto.
Sharlene’s sense of humility and respect for Universal Energy is evident in the way she sees herself as a vehicle or channel for the power of the field. However, she insists that we can all be channels. Ultimately, the power is in our hands and she would be more than happy to teach us how to claim that power as our own.
Like her paintings, working with Blue Matrix Energetics allows Sharlene to tap into a spiritual canvas that creates healing in all dimensions.

History Of Caddies
August 8th, 2008 by sunshineblog
Most golfers pull or drive a golf cart to help them travel comfortably from hole to hole. But before there were golf carts, there were golf caddies to carry the clubs, rake sand traps and offer the occasional bit of quiet advice. These days, it seems you can only spot caddies on the most prestigious courses, or on the big screen. Caddies are a dying breed, but the history of caddies is a colourful one.
Perhaps the most famous caddy of them all, William Gunn, a.k.a. Caddie Willie, is said to have labored most of his adult life at the illustrious St. Andrews course in Scotland. Tales have been told of the infamous caddie shack, where the most horribly unmentionable acts were allegedly carried out, away from the sight of club members. The hilarious film Caddy Shack forever changed the way we felt about gophers, groundskeepers, and country club members.
The history of caddies is up for debate, with no one really sure how the tradition began. The most mythic explanation is that early caddies were true students of the game, and far more talented than the players for whom they toiled. The caddie worked the course to gain a better understanding of how to beat it. This theory was proven at the 1913 U. S. Open when former American caddy Francis Oimet defeated Harry Vardon and Ted Ray, two of the leading British golf pros.
Golf carts were introduced in the 1940s and caddies have become, well.. history. Most modern golf and country clubs own a stable of gas-powered or electric carts to give members the quickest and most convenient way to zip around a course. If a player chooses to walk, he or she can tow a pull cart or simply carry the golf bag. Caddies have become too expensive for most players to afford, so it’s difficult for golf and country clubs to justify employing them.
The history of caddies was relatively short-lived. The tradition is gone, and golfers are left to choose their own clubs, rake their own sand traps, and tackle the tough shots without that bit of inside advice.

Classy Store Fixtures Add Pizzaz To Any Retail Display
August 8th, 2008 by sunshineblog
Ever look into a window of a store only to be bored and underwhelmed? Excitement and interest are key components to the success of any retail display. The merchandise must certainly be interesting and inviting to get you into the store. However, the store fixtures can add interest also and are as much of the retail store presentation and its ultimate merchandising success as the product line itself.
Retail merchandising has always been about creating interest and some buzz about the product being sold. When buying at wholesale and reselling, the store owner has got to provide some excitement in order to get buyers interested and ultimately buying. Today’s fixtures are not just the standard chrome or painted white shelves of the past. The store owner has an array of classy display units to choose from to create an interesting display to grab and hold the customers’ interest.
Retail fixtures now come in many styles. If you have a gift or accessories store, consider using some of the wrought iron bakers racks and display racks. These units are available with wire, wood and glass shelves to accommodate most small product lines. A variety of wholesale vendors have fixtures and display racks readily available ranging from classic old world designs to ultra modern styling. Pick a style that fits your store and then arrange merchandise in an interesting and inviting fashion. While chrome and basic black are good standbys when unsure of color direction, you can choose a color theme like gold, rust finish or other popular tone to enhance the look in your store.
Shelves and shelf style are an important choice also when choosing store fixtures. If you have a plant store or are merchandising baskets, racks or fixtures with wire shelves might be the right choice for you. Other small items like small decorative accessories display well on glass shelves. Glass allows light to pass through each shelf and does not create an extremely dark area near the bottom of the unit. While this can be offset with spot lighting in the store, the retailer generally needs all the available light to properly display retail merchandise. Wood, metal and other solid surface shelves can provide a great deal of weight bearing capacity but as mentioned limit the amount of light available near the floor to display merchandise. Choose your fixtures based on the type of merchandise your are displaying.
While plain white metal shelves are great for selling cereal, they leave much to be desired when selling collectibles and decorative accessories. Jane does not have to Plain when it comes to the retail store environment. Jazz it up a little buy choosing display fixtures with class and style to enhance your products. Inject some interest into your merchandising presentations and you will have a store filled with customers and a fat bottom line. Don’t worry about “Where Are My Customers.” Instead concern yourself with more important details like making sure you have a good supply of printing tape for the cash register.
